The billing cycle begins from the day your meter is installed. Our minimum bill is 0-2000 gallons, so you will be billed even if you use 0 gallons.

Water bills are due on or before the 10^th of each month. Bills which are not paid by the 10^th of the month receive a 10% late penalty on the 11^th. Then delinquent notices are sent out to everyone who has not paid by that time. If you have mailed your payment, the notice may be sent while your payment is on the way to us.

CCWD Office Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday excluding holidays. We accept payment via cash, check, or money order. You may use MasterCard, Visa, or Discover at cumberlandcountywaterutilitydistrict.com an additional processing fee is charged by the website. You may also sign up for automatic withdrawal of your bill from your bank account. If you use your bank’s online bill payment service, your payment is sent to a processing center where they produce a physical check which is then mailed to us. This process typically takes 10-14 days before the payment arrives here in the mail.

If you have not received your bill by the 1^st of the month, please call us at (270) 864-3133 to find out the amount. Every month someone’s bill gets lost in the mail. We are not responsible for mail delivery.

CCWD is responsible for maintenance up through the water meter. The customer is responsible for everything beyond the meter base. We recommend the customer to install a shut-off valve beginning at the outlet side of the water meter. The shut-off valve on the meter setter is not for customer use. We are unable to provide repair service for leaks on the customer’s side of the meter base. Please contact our office for a list of available private contractors.

Taps/meter boxes will remain as originally set.

Customer meter deposits are refunded after 12 months in a row of no late payments. If there is a deposit on your account when you close out the account, it will be applied to the final bill. Any credit balance will be mailed with your final bill.

It is Illegal to share a water meter.

A separate meter must be installed for each residence/business.

Our leak adjustment policy is that the customer’s average usage over the past three billing periods prior to the leak will be billed at the utilities regular rates. The remaining usage will be charged at the per thousand gallon leak adjustment rate as set forth in the tariff. Only one adjustment per 12 months is given.
